AETHER Program
Space & propulsion
Reusable methalox AETHER B engine and modular Orbital Lume launcher, for independent access to orbit and lunar missions.
AETHER ProgramEMT Aerospace Technologies · Italy · International programs
We design reusable launch propulsion and unmanned platforms for civil and defense applications. Systems engineering, gradual validation, international reach.
Two complementary program lines, run with the same systems engineering discipline: design, verification and qualification.

AETHER ProgramARGUS Family
Autonomous multi-domain platforms — airborne and underwater — with on-board intelligence, for surveillance, security and situational awareness.
ARGUS FamilyPocket-size quad designed to see in the dark: the Scout version is vision-only, the Sentinel versions add LWIR thermal imaging, 3D LiDAR and SENTINEL autonomous surveillance. The first system in the ARGUS range intended for the market.
ARGUS Z is under development: the values shown are design targets, not performance measured on flight hardware.
CAD model renderThe first ARGUS system heads to market: a pocket-size quad in a vision-only version and in versions with thermal imaging and LiDAR.
CAD model renderThe component-first approach for the characterization of the AETHER B engine toward the modular launcher has been defined.
CAD model renderEMT begins development of the rapid-response ARES variant and of the defense configurations of the ARGUS family, intended for authorized entities.
EMT Aerospace Technologies is an Italian aerospace company based in Lumezzane (Brescia), founded in 2026. It develops reusable launch propulsion (the AETHER program) and autonomous unmanned systems (the ARGUS family), for civil and defense applications.
It designs the AETHER B methalox rocket engine (design thrust class ~758 kN, undergoing experimental validation), the reusable modular launch vehicle Orbital Lume, the ARGUS family of autonomous drones (R, X, Z) and the rapid-response ARES propulsion variant for defense.
The headquarters is at Via Ragazzi del ’99, 43 — 25065 Lumezzane (BS), Italy.
Yes. EMT is a dual-use company: it develops technologies for the civil market and for defense and security, supplying defense configurations exclusively to authorized entities and in compliance with the international export control regimes (Wassenaar Arrangement, MTCR) and with the regulations of the country of origin and of the country of destination.
AETHER is EMT’s space program: it includes the reusable methalox engine AETHER B and the modular launch vehicle Orbital Lume, for access to low Earth orbit and lunar missions.
